detail: Tracking. The class will include a slide presentation instruction session from 7pm-9pm on Friday the 3rd and a field trip in the Reserve from 8am – 5pm on Saturday the 4th. This training will qualify you as an official Tracking Team member for Crestridge (and other areas of the county as well). Tracking Teams conduct quarterly tracking transects (sceintific observation/data collection) to provide valuable information on the health of various animal populations throughout the San Diego MSCP area. Because of the time and resouces involved, there is a $35 fee for this training. Some scholarships are available. RSVP no later than November 23rd. Pre-registration and a one year commitment to participating in the quarterly transects are required for this training. Contact Cathy Chadwick (info at end of newsletter).

detail: This month, remember that there are plenty of construction-work opportunities at Habitat for Humanity. HFH is a unique volunteer experience for people of all ages, races, religions, and abilities. The tangible results of a day on the construction site, or the emotional involvement in a family's growth are things that make the Habitat experience more fulfilling than you can ever imagine. We give volunteers an opportunity to not only make a difference with a days work, but also make a connection with a family moving towards stability, entitlement, and homeownership. Volunteer hours typically run 9 am- 4 pm, weekdays and weekends. Opportunities are subject to availability, so please call to schedule an appointment:
