detail: A native of Costa Rica, Jiménez moved to the US in 1974. Today he is recognized as one of the leading architects of his generation. Jiménez is currently principal of Carlos Jiménez Studio (Houston) and professor at Rice University. His main built works include, among others, the Houston Fine Art Press, the Spencer Studio Art Building (Williams College), and the Peeler Art Center (DePauw University).
